AÏTA MON AMOUR

Formed by Widad Mjama and Khalil Epi, AÏTA MON AMOUR pays tribute to the Chikhates, women who have preserved the tradition of the Aïta, an ancestral oral genre that denounces injustice and calls for emancipation or uprising against the oppressor. Inspired by poetry and the essence of words, the duo AÏTA MON AMOUR aims to preserve and make this age-old Moroccan art resonate in a contemporary way by adding electronic sounds.
