AWKA is a Chilean DJ living in Geneva. She began her Dj-ing career in 2017. Since then, she has mainly developed her research around Women & Queer Reggaeton. AWKA distills conscious cumbia & perreo tracks, sung or produced by women, trans and non-binary people, because for her, Dj-ing is also political. This particularity has enabled her to share the stage alongside international artists such as Sara Hebe, Kumbia Queers, Ana Tijoux, Ketekalles, Dengue Dengue Dengue, Chico Trujillo and El Caribe Funk. AWKA is also keen to support social and political causes by mixing for support evenings and demonstrations.
