Doracell

It's through the revolution and the popular musical memory of Shaâbi that Doracell, a Tunisian artist based in Geneva, finds her inspiration and forges her claims. She creates an eclectic encounter between the Shaâbi rboukh of the SWANA region (South-West Asia and North Africa) and the rebellion of electronic sounds. With her striking dynamic sets, she transports us to fiery places from the Maghreb to the Levant. Her powerful selection, tinged with percussive rhythms and heady chants, transforms the dancefloor into a space where rage is sung, and resistance is danced.
