Can you choose your destiny? And what do you do if you don’t like your own?
Seven teenagers between 15 and 20 explore these questions through fiction on stage. Or perhaps they’re on the sands of the artificial beach in Hofstade, on the outskirts of Brussels? They create characters and experiment with theater. What if an artificial lake were to become the Atlantic? What if the performers built a sailboat to cross the waves? Do our dreams belong to us, or are they just old clichés we've inherited? What do our fictional choices tell us about ourselves? After Ouragan in 2022, Ilyas Mettioui returns to the Festival de la Cité with an invitation to set sail and chart a free course.
